Tree of Life Suncatcher Workshop

Join us for a Friday night making party with Main Street Studio member, Karen Nerney! 

Bring a friend, or meet new ones in this hands-on workshop where Karen walks the class through the process to create a stunning Tree of Life suncatcher using jewelry wire and iridescent beads that shimmer in the sunlight. Designed for beginners and hobbyists alike, this class introduces students to basic wire-working techniques and familiarizes them with gauges of wire and jewelry-making tools such as round-nose and flat nose pliers.

You'll shape and twist wire to form the iconic "Tree of Life,” a timeless symbol representing growth, strength, interconnectedness and the cycle of life. Each tree is unique, just like its creator, and the iridescent beads add a radiant, sun-catching sparkle that brings the design to life.

Date: Friday, June 13  6:30 - 8:30pm

Cost: $55.00 non-members, $49.50 members (use discount code at checkout)
Cost includes workshop instruction and all materials. 

No prior experience is necessary, though this project does require some fine motor dexterity.

Karen Nerney has been teaching jewelry-making classes for nearly a decade (and even more if you count her experience as Girl Scout Troop leader!). Through her business Gratitude Place (www.gratitudeplace.com), Karen shares messages of infinite love, limitless possibilities and the unending power of gratitude. She combines her passion for writing with her love of beautiful beads in her work, and her jewelry and beaded suncatchers are paired with inspirational messages that celebrate relationships, offer inspiration or provide encouragement. Karen has been beading and crafting since she was a teenager, and continues to explore new mediums as a member of Main Street Studio. We are very grateful to have her in our community!
