Soap Making - Cold Processed Goat Milk Soap Workshop - Jan 18
We can't hibernate all winter! Join us in the Studio on Saturday, January 18 to learn traditional soap making techniques with Tabatha McFee, small-batch artisan soap maker and owner of the Charlton Artisanal, an all natural skin care company focused on using local and natural ingredients.
In this two-hour class, each participant will weigh out all of their raw ingredients and learn about the saponification process to make cold processed goat milk soaps. Each group will have the opportunity to create their own unique scented soap bars using essential oils (no fragrance oil) and natural colorants (clay, botanicals, herbs, root powders and spices). At the end of the evening, everyone will get to take home 4 different scented goat milk soaps that the class has made together. Kind of like a cookie swap, but with soaps!
When: Saturday, January 18 3:00pm – 5:00pm
Total Class Cost: $65.00 Includes all materials
Where: Main Street Studio, 786 Charlton Road Charlton, NY 12019
Note: This process is a bit "scientific"! Participants will be measuring ingredients that require careful handling. Young makers can join us if accompanied by an adult.
