Main Street Studio is a member-supported collaborative creative center!

Why become a Studio Member?

• The community You’ll become part of a community of supportive makers, craftspeople and artists. From total beginners, to working professionals, working across mediums, we’re rediscovering what’s old and inventing what’s new. We are craft nerds. Curious and open, we can’t stop learning and we can’t get enough of exploring the endless possibilities working with raw materials offers. We take play very seriously.
• The collaborations Amazing things happen when makers make together! Each member posesses their own individual experiences, perspectives, skills, design and materials knowledge. When we share freely, new ideas and processes that would never have happened on their own, spontaneously appear. This is the real treasure for the explorer at heart.
• The space to spread out and make a mess Members take advantage of 4,000 sq ft of well-lit industrial making space, with concrete floors and 14-foot ceilings. In the warm months, we can open our front wall and let the outside in. It’s a perfect place to leave behind the things that always seem to keep us from getting down to work.
• Member discounts Members receive discounts on workshops, private instruction, materials, and finished works in the gallery/store.
• Access to traditional and professional tools of the trade An always expanding selection of hand and power tools for working wood and natural fibers, with clay and metals in sights for the near future. A very well-appointed woodturning studio to learn or take your craft to the next level. All tools are available to use once you’ve been been certified in their safe use.
• Access to raw materials and resources We stock green and air-dried hardwood, burls, sheep and alpaca wool, plant fibers, natural dyes, paints, and more. All available to purchase at generous member-discounted prices. We also accept material donations which will of course be free for members use!
• The sharing You’ll find a donation-fed book and handtool lending library. A virtual hardware store of fasteners and salvaged parts. Oodles of half-finished works and odd doo dads to integrate into what you are making. If you are looking for it, you’ll probably find it.

Membership is a platform for your craft business (or serious hobby)

• A professional photo studio to capture professional images of your work.
• A curated retail/showroom space to display and sell your work to the public or privately to your collectors
• A workshop space to teach your students, or gather an audience to give demonstrations or talk about your work.

**Please note: Space is very limited for Studio Members, and availibily depends on individual artist needs and primary media used. We cannot accommodate everyone.
